In connection with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) No. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, in place since 25 May 2018, we publish the following information concerning the processing of personal data stored in cookie files and provided through the contact form by BELFOOD Sp. z o.o. ul. Mielęckiego 10/3, 40-013 Katowice.

Data controllers

The Controller does not share your data for further processing purposes. 

Purpose of data processing

  • The purpose of processing of the data may be:

    – Ensuring proper operation of the Website and adapting it to the needs of visitors. For this purpose, server logs collect requests addressed to the server (including the IP address of the user, server date and time, information about the Internet browser and operating system). Server logs are an auxiliary resource for administering the Website, creating statistics, evaluating the usefulness of the Website and for its optimisation. Use of the Website involves sending requests to the server on which the Website is stored. Each request addressed to the server is be saved in the server logs. The logs include, but are not limited to, your IP address, server date and time, information about your web browser and operating system. The logs are saved and stored on the server. Data stored in server logs are not linked to persons using the Site and are not used by our company to identify persons visiting the Site. Server logs are only a resource supporting the administration of the Site, and their content is disclosed only to persons authorized to administer the server. The collected data are also used by our company to create statistics that are used to evaluate the usefulness of the Site and to optimise it.

    – Getting in touch. Regarding matters raised through the contact form. Contact details are used to exchange correspondence, answer enquiries, prepare offers and for direct marketing.

    – Conversion support. Activities necessary to carry out the conversion.

    – Newsletter. The e-mail address provided by the user is used to send out the newsletter. Receiving the newsletter requires the user’s consent as the owner of the e-mail address. If you wish to unsubscribe from the newsletter, you can withdraw your consent any time using the unsubscribe link found in each newsletter message.
    – Banner advertising. The data collected during the user’s visit are also used to display so-called banner advertisements. Banner ads are graphic contents redirecting the user to BELFOOD Sp. z o.o. Mielęckiego Street 10/3, 40-013 Katowice from third-party websites. This advertisement mainly uses cookies or pixels. Our company’s aim is to develop advertisements that are attractive and useful to users, therefor thanks to banner advertising the user can see the main products recently viewed on our website or products similar to those previously viewed (so-called retargeting). With regard to banner advertising, only pseudonymised data are used; direct information about the user (e.g. name or e-mail address) is not stored in cookies.
    – Retargeting. Our website uses retargeting technology. The use of this technology makes it possible to offer the user a more attractive Internet experience. It enables us to display relevant advertisements on the websites of our partners to users interested in our products. Displaying personalised advertisements is more attractive to users than advertisements that do not have an individual connection to their interests. The display of advertising materials on our partners’ websites is based on cookie technology and analysis of past user behaviour. This form of advertising is completely anonymous. When you use our website, we use cookies to collect, store and use data about your behaviour. In addition, the user data contained in the cookies is stored after the end of the browsing session and is used during the next visit on the website.

  • The above data are used to maintain and develop the website, for marketing and sale purposes or for the purpose of order fulfilment.
  • Data of persons visiting the website are transferred to recipients in order to provide services. We use a variety of professional tools, including Google Analytics and cookies.
    We use Google Analytics – a tool for analysing website statistics, developed by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information collected (including your IP address) is transferred to Google Inc. servers in the USA where it is stored. Google uses the data to evaluate your use of the website on the basis of the number of visits, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google does not link your IP address with any other data held by Google Inc.     – Google AdWords. The Site also uses the free conversion tracking function available from Google AdWords. Google is committed to protecting your data in this regard. Google saves a cookie on your computer every time you click on an advertisement and the cookie expires after 50 months. This technology allows for remarketing activities. Remarketing is used to display Site advertisements to users who have previously visited the Site when they visit other websites. If you do not agree with the nature of the service, you may refuse to store cookies by changing your browser settings to deactivate automatic cookie support.     – Google Double Click. The website may use DART cookies for displaying adverts by Google’s DoubleClick system, which creates a cookie when you visit websites using the DoubleClick advertising system. This cookie is used to display advertisements tailored to your interests. DART cookies enable Google and its partners to display specific advertisements to users on the basis of their visits to other websites. The DART system does not track personal information such as name, e-mail address, address or telephone number.     – Social network plugins. Our website uses social network plugins such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. When you visit the Site, your browser establishes a direct connection to these network servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted from the social network directly to the user’s browser and then integrated into the Website. When the plug-in is enabled, the social network receives information about the user’s visit to a specific website.

Data is stored for a period necessary to achieve the purpose of its processing. 

The right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority

In cases concerning the processing of personal data, you have the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority, i.e. the President of the Office for the Protection of Personal Data.
